It was hard hearing her at first. The ppl that attended were kind and so was the instructor. It was appropriate for beginners. She has a strong accent and was hard to understand at times

Thoroughly enjoyed. The only improvement could have been if the brewery manager kept the patio for adults only - class students and adult customers, The other patrons? children were a distraction. Teacher was great.

our instructor was great...good warm up and practice techniques for beginning ink and watercolor even in such a dynamic overflow book sale environment where she had to adjust to the library's huge book sale where we were seated in a children's section due to the overflow of the library by patrons. I was appalled at the unprofessionalism of the librarian supervisor who chose to inform our instructor of the city's change in policy in such a manner.... nonetheless, our instructor kept her composure despite being informed of the change in front of our class... not a class act by the library... I did speak with the librarian about her behavior after the class and she did acknowledge that she should have handled the situation in a more diplomatic and more professional way... As a supervisor of personnel in business, university and non-profit organizations, I was disappointed to see such poor behavior by the librarian.

It was ok! I understand that teachers don?t want you to copy exactly what they do, but if someone?s trying to learn watercolor techniques, they actually have to show some techniques. Gabbi was very nice and she did show us some techniques and making trees, but they?re very elementary.

I am a visual thinker certified by Bikablo (Germany) and a lifelong learner of watercolor and ink painting. More than 20 years ago, I began with ink, drawing old houses and religious figures, while also exploring watercolor through flowers and landscapes. Over time, watercolor became my main love because of its immediacy and freedom. I also illustrate digitally with Procreate and have written and illustrated two children's books. Mostly self-taught, I've taken courses here and there, but what truly guides me is not striving for perfection 2014 I simply enjoy the creative process.
Beyond art, I am an early childhood specialist, a lactation consultant, and a childbirth and parenting educator. I love music and always try to bring it into my painting sessions with a carefully chosen playlist. I also love to dance and find great joy in sharing what I know with others. For me, painting is my happy place, my secret weapon for joy, and my way of staying present.

Created In Lincoln CaMy first try doing a still life. My goal and challenge was to see how close to real life I could get. I've been painting in watercolors since 2019. I was gifted my first set of watercolor paints and started to learn as much as I could via YouTube since it was during the height of Covid. I generally lean towards landscapes but do dabble in floral and still lifes. It's so exciting to see the water flow!

I?ve only been painting with watercolor since June, and most of my pieces so far have been created in a class setting using reference photos. This painting is one of three that I painted at home on my own, and it quickly became one of my favorites.I?ve fallen in love with watercolor ? the flow, the unpredictability, and the magic of watching colors blend on the page. I just joined this watercolor group, and I?m excited to keep learning new techniques, improving my skills, and exploring every

I love the character and charm of this old barn. It?s got some patched up walls, holes in the roof, and areas where a large opening appears to have been closed off. Rather than detracting from its beauty these items enhance it and help tell the story of its life.

I am in the process of creating a Tarot deck which began with a creature that I began drawing when I was 12. It varied between being something like a dog to something like a cat, with flames to represent my emotional state in those original images. When I decided I wanted to learn the tarot more deeply, I embarked on a journey of this symbol system I had already begun in my youth and expanded it to all four elements which tie to the suits of the tarot. I call this creature the Veralla.Having w

Shadows and light have always felt magical to me. Whenever I come across a scene that captures these elements beautifully, I?m instantly drawn to paint it. When I stumbled upon the photo of this quaint little Parisian caf? street, bathed in the warm winter morning light filtering through the trees, I simply couldn?t resist the urge to bring it to life in watercolor.I hope you enjoy my painting, especially the play of light and shadows ? it was an absolute joy to create.
